With an aim to challenge prevailing stereotypes, the documentary shines a spotlight on their realities, struggles, aspirations, and the resilience that drives them forward.

Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Otito Wilfred Aso, who both wrote and directed the piece, and captured through the vivid lens of renowned cinematographer Asega Joshua (Sega VFX), the film promises an unfiltered and authentic portrayal of life on society’s margins. The project is co-produced by Shalom Mark and Olaniyi Habeeb (Bation), whose creative synergy has shaped the documentary into a compelling narrative woven with raw emotion and stunning visuals.

It reveals the layered, emotional lives of young men who are commonly dismissed as mere troublemakers, showing their dreams, resilience, and humanity.”

He added, “With Why We Survive, TN Media underscores its dedication to producing content that is not only socially relevant but also deeply emotional—stories that spark empathy and inspire meaningful dialogue.”

The film is poised to make a significant impact, offering audiences a rare and intimate glimpse into a world many choose to ignore. In doing so, Why We Survive stands as a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
