The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has expressed confidence in the political revival of the South East region, stating that this resurgence will be led by APGA.
He made this declaration in Awka during a Homecoming event organized by the Anambra State Chapter of the party to celebrate his recent Supreme Court victory.
Speaking at the event, Barrister Ezeokenwa acknowledged the current political challenges facing the South East, emphasizing the need for unity under a single political platform to advance the region’s interests on the national stage. In his words, “The South East is politically down in Nigeria because we have not been able to organize ourselves under a united front to effectively negotiate for power. For a person of Igbo extraction to become the president of Nigeria, the South East must come together as one. APGA, under my leadership, is committed to achieving this possibility. Though we may be politically down now, with APGA, the South East will rise again.” he declared.
Ezeokenwa commended party members and supporters who turned out in large numbers to celebrate his victory, attributing the party’s success to their prayers, loyalty, and unwavering support.
He also lauded the Supreme Court for its impartial judgment, which upheld him as the authentic National Chairman of APGA. He noted that despite efforts by detractors to undermine justice, the Supreme Court ensured that truth and fairness prevailed.
The APGA National Chairman urged party members to thank Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the party’s National Leader, for his steadfast support in protecting the party from being hijacked by political opportunists. According to Ezeokenwa, Governor Soludo played a pivotal role in safeguarding the party from individuals whose ultimate aim was to destabilize it and loot the state treasury.
Ezeokenwa assured party faithful that his Supreme Court victory marks the beginning of an upward trajectory for APGA. He pledged that under his leadership, the party would fulfill its destiny and reclaim its position as a major political force in Nigeria.
He called on all members and stakeholders to align themselves with his administration’s DRIVE agenda, emphasizing that collective effort is essential for the party’s continued success.
The event was a celebration of both legal victory and fresh hope for the South East, with Sly Ezeokenwa’s leadership promising a new era for APGA and the South East region.
