Please Have Mercy, Forgive Aregbesola – Oba Of Lagos Begs Tinubu

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, has made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu, requesting forgiveness for the former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

Oba Akiolu made this plea during a visit to his palace by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Chukwuemeka Agbasi, alongside their team.

Goronyo and Agbasi were in Lagos State on a two-day working tour to inspect facilities and commission various projects.

In a related development, Rauf Aregbesola, who leads the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, a faction within the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reaffirmed the group’s commitment to fostering unity and development within the state and across the nation.

During a stakeholders’ meeting held in Ilesa, Aregbesola emphasized the importance of the caucus expanding its membership across all local government areas in Osun State.

Taking to his verified X account (formerly Twitter), Aregbesola expressed his vision for the group, stating, “I urge all members to embody the spirit of resilience, dedication, love, and unity, which are the bedrock of every successful endeavor. I also remind them of the need to fully align with our core ethos of discipline, courage, character, and competence.”

The former governor of Osun State expressed satisfaction with the progress of the caucus, particularly regarding its membership drive. He noted that the ongoing registration exercise has seen significant growth, strengthening the group’s efforts to achieve its goals.

Aregbesola encouraged members to continue inviting more people to join the caucus, thereby bolstering their collective capacity to reclaim the state and contribute meaningfully to national unity and development.

He concluded by highlighting the caucus’ strategic focus on fostering strong leadership and active participation within the APC at the state and national levels.
