Sir Ugochukwu Obiefuna, Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s decision to award the dualization and construction project for the Agulu-Nnobi-Nnewi-Okija road.
Speaking in an interview with NewdayReporters on Monday, Obiefuna commended Governor Soludo’s proactive leadership, noting that the road project would bring both social and economic benefits to Anambra State.
He praised the governor’s clear vision and unwavering commitment to bringing the dividends of democracy to every resident of Anambra. Obiefuna emphasized the significance of the Agulu-Nnobi-Nnewi-Okija road as a vital transportation link within the state, describing it as “crucial and of immense commercial importance.”
He noted that the road had long been neglected, leaving it in poor condition and making travel difficult. The decision to undertake this project, he said, has brought new hope and excitement among the people, particularly residents in the affected communities.
Chief Obiefuna referred to Soludo as “a gift from God to Ndi Anambra,” pointing out the governor’s dedication to addressing essential infrastructure needs that have long gone unaddressed.
In His own words, “Every resident or indigene of Anambra is elated by the news of this road project. The Agulu-Nnobi-Nnewi-Okija road has been in a bad shape for years, making it a nightmare for road users. We are grateful that the solution Governor has prioritized this crucial infrastructure. When completed, this road will bring relief to all who depend on it.”
He further added, “The joy that greeted the announcement of this project is a testament to what impactful leadership truly looks like. There is no doubt that Governor Soludo is committed to the well-being of Ndi Anambra.” he said.
Chief Obiefuna used the opportunity to send a reminder to property owners along the road, urging them to respect the government’s 19-meter boundary requirement. He advised those with properties within this boundary to make the necessary adjustments now to prevent any issues with encroachment as construction moves forward.
He thanked Governor Soludo for tackling the challenges that have plagued road users in the area, commending him for keeping his campaign promise to provide effective solutions to the real issues facing Anambra.
