On Tuesday, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued a stern warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. According to Ayodele, Wike will face public disgrace in Abuja if he continues on his current path, particularly in his ongoing conflict with Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State.
The prophet described Wike’s actions as a fight against God, urging him to cease the political unrest to avoid being sidelined and forgotten.
The political tension between Wike and Fubara has escalated into a power struggle in Rivers State, which Ayodele suggests could have damaging consequences.
In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele advised both politicians not to turn Rivers State into a battleground for their political ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ayodele further predicted that Wike’s involvement in the All Progressives Congress (APC) could lead to internal conflicts, with Wike clashing with senior members of the party. He warned that if Wike isn’t cautious, he could be sidelined from the political decisions and arrangements for the 2027 elections.
Additionally, Ayodele emphasized that Wike’s ongoing battle with Fubara is akin to challenging divine authority, and unless he refrains from further instigating conflicts, he risks being abandoned by the political sphere and fading into obscurity.
Although Ayodele expressed doubt that Wike would heed this warning, he cautioned that Wike will eventually face challenges that will force him to reconsider his approach. The prophet also forecasted turmoil in Rivers State, stating that divine judgment would soon strike, affecting some but sparing others.
Ayodele was clear that despite Wike’s current political maneuvering, he will not have the final say in determining who becomes the next governor of Rivers State in 2027.
He hinted at a major sacrifice within the political struggle, suggesting that a prominent figure would fall victim to the ongoing crisis.
Finally, Ayodele reminded Wike that, in the end, he will have to return to Rivers State, where divine judgment will unfold, sparing some but not all in the midst of the conflict.
