On Saturday, Governor Wike held a town hall meeting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with key stakeholders, including the FCT Minister of State, Mariya Mahmoud, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, religious leaders, political party representatives, and various community groups.

During the meeting, Wike addressed the upcoming #EndBadGovernance protest scheduled for August 1st.

He stated that his office had not received any official request to use Eagle Square for the protest and advised the organizers to follow proper channels and not rely solely on social media for communication.

Wike reiterated his opposition to the protest, emphasizing that the FCT would not be available for such demonstrations.

He urged residents to avoid participating in the protest.

The meeting aimed to discuss and address concerns regarding the planned protest and its potential impact on the community.

In a separate incident, a 43-year-old man shared his experience of being robbed and left unconscious by a pregnant woman who posed as a passenger.
