Kenneth Okonkwo Is A Mole, We Are Not Surprised About Him Leaving – Labour Party Blasts
A chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Kenneth Okonkwo, has publicly expressed his loss of confidence in the party’s leader, Peter Obi, to build a winning electoral machine. Okonkwo cited recent events within the party as the catalyst for his decision to leave the LP and explore new political avenues.
This announcement comes after Okonkwo’s previous criticisms of the party, describing it as a “secret society led by clowns” in June.
He clarified that his resignation is not motivated by a desire to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In response, the LP’s national publicity secretary, Obiora Ifoh, stated that Okonkwo’s resignation was expected and viewed his criticism of Obi as unfortunate and attention-seeking.
Ifoh noted that the party will not engage with Okonkwo’s comments, as they believe his actions are driven by a desire for attention.
Ifoh also highlighted recent defections from the LP to the APC, implying that Okonkwo’s move was predictable.
The LP spokesperson emphasized that the party remains committed to supporting Obi as its 2027 presidential candidate, despite coordinated attacks from some quarters.
Ifoh expressed confidence in Obi’s ability to lead Nigeria and noted that the party is aware of internal moles attempting to hijack the party for external interests.
