Don’t Make Indigenous People Of Lagos Regret Accommodating Non-Indigenes, Traditional Ruler Warns Igbos, Other Tribes Ahead Of Nationwide Protest Against Tinubu’s Government

The monarch, Oba Lukman Adebambo, has issued a stern warning to individuals planning to embark on protests in Lagos State, particularly those who are not originally from the state.

He reminded the residents of Lagos about their reputation for being welcoming and accommodating to people from other parts of the country.

However, he emphasized that this hospitality should not be taken for granted.

Oba Adebambo expressed concern that during protests, Lagos State’s infrastructure often suffers the most damage.

He urged protesters to find alternative, peaceful, and constructive ways to express their grievances, rather than resorting to destructive actions.

He acknowledged that the current economic hardship is a national issue, affecting not only Nigeria but also other countries.

The monarch referenced the devastating effects of the previous #EndSARS protest, which resulted in widespread destruction of properties, including government and private assets.

He pointed out that the funds used to repair and refurbish these damaged properties could have been allocated to other important projects.

Oba Adebambo assured the public that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is aware of the current economic challenges and is working to address them.

He cautioned against further destruction of infrastructure, emphasizing that it would only exacerbate the existing problems. Instead, he encouraged protesters to engage in peaceful and constructive dialogue to achieve their goals.
