SHOCKING: I Won’t Leave Office On June 16th, If Dem Born You Well, Show Your Face – Rivers State LG Chairman Loyal To Wike Dares Governor Fubara

Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State, has openly challenged Governor Siminalayi Fubara, asserting that he will not step down from his position at the end of his tenure on June 16.

In a direct address to the governor through a video, Nwanosike declared his intention to stay in office beyond the designated date.

Nwanosike justified his stance by referencing an extension of his tenure granted by state lawmakers under the leadership of Martin Amaewhule.

He argued that this extension was necessary due to the state government’s failure to conduct local government elections.

He firmly stated his commitment to continue serving in his role and warned that the people of Ikwerre Local Government would resist any attempts to remove him from office.

Nwanosike boldly challenged, “Let them come and try to remove me if they dare. The countdown begins, 23 more days to go.”

He further added, “Who are you to say Martins Amaewhule is not the Speaker of the Rivers House of Assembly? If Amaewhule declares that, due to the governor’s failure to conduct local government elections, my tenure should be extended, then it shall be so.

“I, Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, whose tenure is based on the oath of office I took and the certificate of return I received for my second term election, will remain in office in Rivers State.”

Addressing those who oppose him, Nwanosike said, “We are sending a message to those who threaten us, saying what we should or should not do.

In Ikwerre Local Government, we don’t wear jeans; we wear white, tie wrappers, and don Ogbakata. Come and challenge the law; we are ready for you.

The law of Nigeria is the law passed by Martin Amaewhule. If you have the courage, show your face. Thank you.” He concluded.
