The Kano Hisbah Board has apprehended 20 individuals, both men and women, for participating in gender-inclusive bathing at a recreation center on Ring Road.
This action followed complaints from local residents. The arrests were carried out by members of Operation Kau Da Badala.
Mujahidin Aminuddin Abubakar, the deputy commandant general of the Hisbah Board, explained that this activity violates Hisbah regulations, which strictly prohibit men and women from bathing together in the same area.
He expressed his disapproval, suggesting that the individuals could have chosen more appropriate activities that would have brought them divine blessings instead.
Abubakar also emphasized the importance of parental supervision, urging parents and guardians to be vigilant about their children’s activities and whereabouts.
He noted that the suspects would face suitable penalties once the investigation is completed.
