The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has issued a Sallah message advising Nigerian Muslims to perceive the prevailing economic challenges as a test from Allah, requiring patience to overcome and attain divine blessings.
MURIC urges individuals to seek forgiveness from Allah, change their behaviors, avoid greed, and acknowledge the blessings bestowed upon them by the Almighty.
In the statement signed by MURIC’s Executive Director, Prof Ishaq Akintola, they emphasize that facing these trials with endurance will result in Allah’s mercy and blessings.
MURIC calls for a cessation of blame-shifting and encourages a positive outlook towards Nigeria, urging citizens to seek forgiveness from the Supreme Creator and adopt a new approach characterized by patience and hard work.
Acknowledging Nigeria’s abundant resources and human capital, MURIC emphasizes the need to reflect on past actions that have led to the current hardships.
They highlight Quranic verses warning against ingratitude and association with evil, attributing the nation’s difficulties to a lack of appreciation for Allah’s blessings.
Ultimately, MURIC advocates for a collective effort to embrace patience, repentance, and diligence in order to navigate through these challenges and secure a brighter future for Nigeria.
