Not up to one year in office as the National Chairman of the foremost progressive political party in Nigeria, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), young Ezeokenwa is proving his doubters wrong amidst strides that is repositioning the party as a home for young people across the country.
The innovative young chairman has shown discipline, restored order, sanitized the party, put an end to leadership tussle that had enveloped the party for the past four years, exerted authority and most surprisingly turned the steering of the party ship towards youth inclusiveness.
In one of his many speeches, Ezeokenwa did not show any hesitation in pointing out determination to rebrand the party into what he called the ‘party for the next generation’.
It is to his credit that the party formerly known as a one state party is wearing a national look, as he continues to position the party as an alternative for the progressive young Nigerians who are dissatisfied with the direction of the country under the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Ezeokenwa who by himself is a youth of great accomplishments has called on fellow young people across the country to come under the umbrella of APGA to pursue their political dreams of political transformation with the purpose of changing the lives of the ordinary Nigerians and displacing the old order.
To this day, since swearing in, Sly Ezeokenwa has remained resolute and committed to pursuing the course of the young people, the common man, the downtrodden, the poor and less privileged, promising to build an all inclusive party where anyone irrespective of age, class, privileges, background, place or condition of birth will have equal opportunities in the party and equal chances of receiving the party’s flag for future elections at any level.
As the dusts settle after a troubling 2023 General Elections, and with the young people yearning for a political party that will give youths the deserved political opportunity to rescue the country, young Sly Ezeokenwa is positioning his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as an irresistible bride to the youths in what looks like it will become a match made in heaven.
