The Presidency has berated the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, in reply to his press conference on Monday where he questioned the Supreme Court’s affirmation of the election of President Bola Tinubu.
Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Monday, said Atiku must now end his “unprofitable” bid to become the President of Nigeria.
Atiku came second behind President Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election, but challenged the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) up to the Supreme Court which dismissed his appeal on Thursday.
During his press conference on Monday, the former Vice President said the verdict by the apex court leaves much to be desired, insisting that Tinubu was not qualified to contest the February 2023 presidential poll.
However, Onanuga said there was no way Atiku and PDP could have won the election with the party platform under which he contested broken into four parts.
