The National Chairman Of Assembly, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa has extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s education policy, calling on Ndi Anambra to support his government for continued progress of the state.
Barr Ezeokenwa disclosed this on Thursday, in a statement credited to his official Facebook account.
According to the statement, the Party Chairman said, “I am absolutely spellbound to pay homage to the visionary leadership of the Executive Governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of APGA, His Excellency Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, for his legendary and trailblazing initiative of scrapping fees in nursery to JSS3 across all public schools in Anambra State. Again, the reduction of fees and other sundry levies for Senior Secondary School students to a mere 5000 is truly praiseworthy.”
“This extraordinary initiative stands unparalleled in Nigeria, defying the odds despite the Universal Education Act of 2004 that guarantees free and mandatory education from primary 1 to JSS3. It is disheartening that no State has been able to fully embrace this Act without adding various hidden charges and levies.”
“Governor Soludo turned heads a fortnight ago by announcing that pregnant women in the state would get the royal treatment with free antenatal and delivery services. These initiatives are truly the cream of the crop, setting the bar high and leaving an indelible mark in the minds of the people. They are a real feather in Mr Governor’s cap and a shining example of taking care of the community’s most vulnerable.”
“The National Leader of APGA has gone against the grain, showcasing the true essence of the APGA ideology. Indeed, I implore every Governor to tread the enviable path of progress set by Governor Soludo and make substantial investments in education and health for the advancement of Nigeria as a whole.”
It can be recalled that Governor Soludo had in a statewide school tour earlier on Thursday, announced Free Education for students in all public schools from Nursery to JSS 3.
