FCET Umunze: New SUG President, Chinedu Onwuadike Vows to Exceed Expectations

The New SUG President of Federal College of Education (Technical) FCET, Umunze, Comrade Chinedu Onwuadike, has Promised to Exceed Students expectations before the expiration of his tenure.

The new President said this in Umunze, while going on a ‘thank you’ visit to students that came out en masse to vote him in the institutions just concluded sug elections.

Comrade Onwuadike, while speaking said that he will prioritize students welfare, work with the management to improve security, upgrade transport infrastructure as well as the students social life.

He was recieve with a rousing applause and cheers as he visited the various hostels in the school to say ‘thank you for voting me’.

Speaking to Newsmen, Miss Chioma Okeke, a student from the Department of English Education while speaking during the new president’s thank you visit to her hostel said, “Charemon has always been the students preferred candidate for SUG President. There’s a lot of hope on him due to his antecedent of helping people even before he decided to contest. So expectations are high, we hope he succeeds”. She concluded.

Another student by name Onyeka Amobi, during Comrade Onwuadike’s visit to his hostel said ” I honestly wish him the best, he was not my candidate but the majority voice said he’s the best man for the job. Now the elections are over, we must support him and pray that he delivers on his promises because this institution needs it. We need a President that will represent the interest of the students and not just the Managements puppet. I pray he (Chinedu Onwuadike) becomes the president we have all been praying for.”

While ovations are high and the students remain in party mood, for the new president, expectations abound, as there are several challenges staring into his eyes, however, he appears confident of proffering solutions. He has promised to meet and exceed the expectations of his voters, such that students will have no reason to regret choosing him as their leader. Time however, will tell on how much of these promises he’s able to fulfill.
