Arsenal vs Southampton: Starting XIs for EPL clash confirmed

[ad_1]

There’s no Granit Xhaka for Arsenal. The Swiss midfielder is absent from the squad due to illness, with Fabio Vieira starting in his place.

There’s better news in defence, however, with Oleksandr Zinchenko fit to start having missed the West Ham game with a muscular injury.

William Saliba remains absent with a back injury, as expected, meaning Rob Holding again partners Gabriel Magalhaes at centre-back.

Gabriel Jesus continues up front, with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka in the wide positions.

Southampton boss Ruben Selles makes three changes from the team that lost to Crystal Palace last time out.

Adam Armstrong, Romain Perraud and Mohamed Elyounoussi come into the team, with Joe Aribo and Kamaldeen Sulemana dropping to the bench, while the on loan Ainsley Maitland-Niles is unable to face his parent club.
