The Real Madrid Champions League quarter-final tie looks to have influenced Frank Lampard’s selections for this Premier League game sandwiched between the two legs.

Chelsea have made six changes from the defeat in Madrid, with Kalidou Koulibaly out with a hamstring problem and N’Golo Kante and Thiago Silva also absent from the matchday squad.

It could be Kante and Thiago Silva are being protected for the second leg with Real on Tuesday, and the same may be the case for Joao Felix, Mateo Kovacic and Reece James who have dropped to the bench.

Benoit Badiashile, Christian Pulisic, Trevoh Chalobah, Mykhailo Mudryk, Denis Zakaria and Conor Gallagher come in.

Kai Havertz is a notable absentee from the Chelsea bench.
