Naira Marley Advocates for Forgiveness

Nigerian singer Naira Marley has taken to social media to stress the importance of forgiveness, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the artist emphasized Islam’s core teachings on forgiveness, describing the religion as “perfect.” He acknowledged that, while Islam itself is infallible, its followers, like all human beings, are prone to making mistakes.

Reinforcing this idea, Naira Marley urged the public to separate individual shortcomings from religious beliefs. He stated that any errors he makes should be attributed to him personally rather than to Islam.

“Islam is perfect, Muslims are not. If I make a mistake, blame me, but not my religion,” he wrote, highlighting the distinction between religious principles and human imperfection.
