Operation Udo-Ga-Achi: Provide Credible Information About A Kidnapper And Get 5 Million Naira From Me – Governor Soludo Tells Ndi Anambra

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced a ₦5 million reward for anyone who provides credible information leading to the identification and arrest of kidnappers operating in Anambra State. The governor made this declaration during the launch of Operation Udo-Ga-Achi in Awka on Saturday, a critical initiative aimed at combating insecurity in the state.

Addressing the alarming rise in kidnapping and other criminal activities, Governor Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making Anambra State a safe and livable homeland. He promised that individuals who provide actionable intelligence about kidnapping syndicates will receive the ₦5 million reward directly from him, emphasizing his determination to dismantle these criminal networks.

“These criminals must be brought to justice, and I am calling on Ndi Anambra to work with the government to make this happen. Anyone who provides valid information about kidnappers in the state will be rewarded with ₦5 million. Together, we can put an end to this menace,” Governor Soludo stated.

The announcement follows the governor’s earlier signing of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law, which established the security framework known as “Agunechemba.” As part of his broader security strategy, Governor Soludo also launched Operation Udo-Ga-Achi, a dedicated security task force equipped with 2,000 trained personnel and supported by an initial fleet of 200 operational vehicles.

These reforms are designed to strengthen the state’s security architecture and address the root causes of insecurity, including kidnapping, armed robbery, and other criminal activities that have posed significant challenges in recent times.

Despite these bold steps, it remains to be seen how these initiatives will impact the prevailing security situation in the state. However, the combination of legislative measures, operational resources, and community involvement signals a comprehensive approach to restoring peace and safety across Anambra.

The governor’s efforts have been widely acknowledged as a proactive response to insecurity, and many stakeholders are optimistic that these measures will yield positive results in the coming months.
