The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Stelconic Properties Limited, Chief Chukwuemeka Nkem Pat Orjiakor, has applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his innovative and strategic strides in enhancing security across Anambra State. Speaking to NewdayReporters in Awka on Saturday, Chief Orjiakor described the launch of Operation Udo-Ga-Achi as a landmark achievement in addressing the state’s pressing security challenges.
Earlier reports from NewdayReporters highlighted Governor Soludo’s recent signing of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law, which established the security framework known as “Agunechemba.” This was accompanied by the launch of Operation Udo-Ga-Achi, a special security task force comprising 2,000 trained personnel and supported by 200 operational vehicles. These efforts reflect the governor’s commitment to making Anambra a secure and livable homeland.
Reacting to these developments, Chief Orjiakor commended the governor for his proactive approach, noting that the combination of the new security law and the task force would significantly reduce criminal activities in the state, particularly kidnapping and armed robbery.
“I commend Governor Soludo for this bold and innovative approach to resolving security concerns in Anambra State. Personally, I am impressed by what he has achieved in the area of security. The Operation Udo-Ga-Achi initiative is a game-changer. When properly enforced and integrated with the newly enacted Anambra Homeland Security Law, it will usher in a new era of safety and security in the state. These measures are comprehensive and thoughtfully designed to address the root causes of insecurity. I am confident they will have a long-lasting impact on reducing crimes like kidnapping and other threats to our communities,” Chief Orjiakor said.
He called on wealthy and influential Anambra sons and daughters to support the governor’s efforts to secure the state, emphasizing that collective action is necessary to achieve the vision of a livable and prosperous homeland.
“The governor has shown remarkable leadership and innovative thinking. Now, it is up to us, Ndi Anambra, to support him in making these initiatives a success. Our well-to-do brothers and sisters have a crucial role to play in this effort. Personally, I have always supported this government’s initiatives, and I encourage other Ndi Anambra to do the same. Together, we can make Anambra a safer place for everyone,” he stated.
Chief Orjiakor also urged the public to actively support security operations by sharing relevant information with authorities. According to him, community involvement is vital in sustaining the progress achieved through the governor’s reforms.
It is worth noting that Chief Orjiakor has been a strong advocate for improved security infrastructure in Anambra State. Recently, he funded the installation of CCTV cameras in Nibo community, Awka South, to enhance local security efforts. While he has pledged to continue contributing to security improvements, he expressed optimism that Governor Soludo’s reforms, particularly Operation Udo-Ga-Achi, would significantly bolster safety across the state.
Chief Orjiakor has proven to be a staunch supporter of the governor’s vision and continues to champion initiatives that promote the well-being and safety of Ndi Anambra.
