The Zamfara State Government has reiterated its dedication to the well-being of its employees by approving an end-of-year bonus for public servants and pensioners. A circular from the Zamfara State Head of Service, Ahmad Aliyu Liman, stated that Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the payment of a 13th-month salary for the year 2024, amounting to 30% of each public servant’s basic salary as a bonus. This payment will not be limited to active public servants but will also include pensioners, demonstrating the government’s commitment to inclusivity and the welfare of all its workers.
Governor Lawal expressed that this gesture aligns with the administration’s continuous efforts to foster good governance and a secure environment. He specifically mentioned, “In its constant drive to ensure good governance and a secured environment, the State Executive Governor Dauda Lawal PhD has again graciously approved the payment of the 13th-month pay in 30% of Basic Salary, as End of Year 2024 Bonus, not only for the serving workforce but generously included our robust pensioners in esprit de corps.”
In addition, Governor Lawal urged all public servants to show their appreciation for this gesture by increasing their commitment to hard work, efficiency, and service delivery. He called on the workforce to demonstrate their dedication to the government and the citizens of Zamfara State by improving productivity and contributing to the success of the administration’s Rescue Mission agenda.
