The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi, has declared an indefinite strike to press for improved working conditions and better welfare from the university administration.

The motion was seconded by another member, and the resolution was adopted by the congress.
The strike which officially began at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, with a directive to all ASUU members at SAZU to comply fully.
The statement clarified that the strike would involve a complete suspension of all academic activities, including teaching, marking of scripts, meetings, accreditation exercises, and any other duties related to academic staff.
