Chief Ugochukwu Obiefuna Applauds Governor Soludo, Anambra’s Solution Innovation District (SID) for Achieving Membership in the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP)

Chief Ugochukwu Obiefuna, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has lauded the Solution Innovation District (SID) for its recent achievement of becoming a full member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP). He emphasized that this development will create significant opportunities for the youth of Anambra State.

In an interview with NewdayReporters, Chief Obiefuna articulated that this milestone aligns perfectly with Governor Soludo’s vision of transforming Anambra into “Africa’s Silicon Valley.”

He commended the efforts of Chinwe Okoli and the leadership team at SID, while also congratulating Governor Soludo for his ambitious goals. “The vision of making Anambra the hub of innovation in Africa is elevating our state onto the global stage,” he stated.

He further noted, “The initiatives being implemented by the governor in the realms of information and communication technology (ICT), technology, and innovation are beginning to yield positive results.

“We are optimistic that this new achievement will enhance Anambra’s appeal to investors, foster valuable partnerships, and introduce cutting-edge technologies that can significantly improve the state’s economic landscape.” He added.

With SID now recognized as a full member of IASP, there is great anticipation regarding how this innovation hub will leverage its membership to connect with over 400 global organizations.

The expectation is that this will attract investment and partnerships, ultimately advancing the technological landscape and overall prosperity of Anambra State.
