ANAMBRA LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION: Go Out, Vote APGA Across Board – Chief Ugochukwu Obiefuna Urges Anambra Residents

The Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo has urged the people of Anambra State to vote overwhelmingly for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in today’s Local Government Elections. This election, scheduled for today, 28th of September, marks a historic moment as it will be the first local government election in the state since 2010.

In an interview with NewdayReporters, Chief Obiefuna emphasized the importance of supporting APGA, citing the remarkable achievements of Governor Soludo’s administration. He remarked, “I call on all well-meaning Anambra citizens to rally behind APGA in local government election holding today. If for no other reason, do it for the tremendous progress the governor has brought to the state.”

Chief Obiefuna went on to highlight several of Governor Soludo’s key accomplishments since taking office. “This administration has delivered on all its promises to Ndi Anambra,” he said. “We’ve provided free education for our children, ensured free antenatal and delivery care for expectant mothers, consistently paid gratuities and pensions, and ensured salaries are never delayed. We have constructed critical roads across the state, employed over 8,000 teachers and 1,000 doctors, and revitalized our primary healthcare system.”

Given these successes, Chief Obiefuna stressed the importance of supporting APGA candidates in the local government elections to ensure continuity in governance. “It’s crucial that our people support the government by voting for APGA candidates across all levels so that this administration can continue to deliver for the overall benefit of the state.”

Expressing confidence in the electorate, he added, “I believe in the good judgment of our people. Ndi Anambra knows how to reward hard work, and I am confident they will come out in large numbers to support APGA. We are deeply appreciative of their overwhelming support for this government, and we do not take it for granted.”

He concluded by reaffirming APGA’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy and good governance, reiterating that the party would continue to work for the betterment of Anambra State.

It is worth noting that during his campaign, Governor Chukwuma Soludo pledged to conduct local government elections within his first two years in office, a promise he has kept. APGA remains optimistic about securing all available seats in today’s polls, confident that the people will recognize and reward the administration’s efforts.
