The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has publicly disavowed an online publication concerning recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, Mr. Ja’afaru Ahmed, the Secretary of the board, clarified that the online publication in question did not originate from the board and should be disregarded by the public.
“The board wishes to inform the general public that the online publications regarding recruitment did not come from us and should be ignored,” Mr. Ahmed stated. He also cautioned the public to be vigilant against fraudulent recruitment schemes and scammers.
On a related note, the board confirmed that recruitment for the Federal Fire Service (FFS) is currently in progress. Shortlisted candidates for this recruitment will be contacted regarding the next steps through telephone messages and emails that were provided during the registration process.
