She recorded her debut album, “Endless Life,” in 1981, which included remakes of Sonny Okosun’s songs and a cover of the Everly Brothers’ “Walk Right Back.”
Onyeka Onwenu’s music career took off, aided by her popularity as a TV journalist. She started receiving invitations to live performances and earned a living from music.
However, she was initially dissatisfied with the technical quality of her recordings and strove to improve it.
