Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Honourable Ify Obinabo, has commended the wife of the governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, for her instrumental role in reuniting Tania with her family.
In a media chat with NewdayReporters on Friday, Honourable Obinabo praised Mrs. Soludo for her tireless efforts in transforming lives and supporting women and children in Anambra State.
Honourable Obinabo expressed her gratitude to the First Lady for her unwavering support to the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, highlighting that Mrs. Soludo has been a crucial pillar behind the ministry’s numerous successes.
She lauded Mrs. Soludo’s motherly care and dedication to the welfare of women and children in the state, noting that many underprivileged children and widows feel secure knowing that the First Lady has taken a keen interest in their well-being.
NewdayReporters recalled that Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo had previously shared on her Facebook page about successfully reuniting Tania with her family. She also detailed her plans to provide Tania with a new beginning and her efforts to reintegrate her into society.
In her post, Mrs. Soludo wrote, “We reunited Tania with her family today. These past six months have been intensively life-changing for all of us who have been closely monitoring this resilient lady’s recovery story. I am immensely grateful to God for this miraculous outcome. We have equipped Tania with everything she needs to move forward: she is now attending university, studying Psychology.
“Our administration has also graciously offered Tania an immediate appointment as a Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Works. This position will provide lasting support for her upkeep and education. We also want Tania to use her life’s experience to inspire and motivate others. We aim to build her new life around impactful work that benefits young people, especially women and children.
“I am delighted with Tania’s new life and I pray that God grants her the strength and resilience to embrace this new chapter, which I am confident will be filled with great experiences.”
