President Bola Tinubu tripped and fell while boarding the parade vehicle at the venue of the 2024 Democracy Day celebration.
The incident occurred shortly after Tinubu arrived at Eagles Square in Abuja for the program.
His security details quickly assisted him in getting back on his feet.
Segun Dada, the Special Assistant on Social Media to President Tinubu, confirmed the incident.
Dada explained that despite the slip, the President quickly regained his balance and continued with the day’s proceedings.
He stated, “Mr President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped.
It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues.”
