Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement and the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has criticized the opposition in Kano for disrupting the government’s activities for a year.
He expressed his views during the declaration of a State of Emergency on education in Kano State.
Kwankwaso began by congratulating the governor on this significant occasion, highlighting the governor’s continuous efforts since taking office.
He acknowledged the governor’s visible achievements across the state, despite facing distractions for about a year.
Kwankwaso pointed out that immediately after the election, adversaries of the state challenged the governor’s victory, taking legal actions through the Tribunal, Appeal Court, and Supreme Court.
He emphasized that even though it was clear to everyone that the governor legitimately won the election, these opponents persisted with their legal battles, aiming to seize power by force, believing they had governmental support.
Despite these challenges, Kwankwaso noted that the governor remained focused and continued his work, overcoming numerous obstacles.
He compared the governor’s situation to his own experience during his second term as governor, when his administration faced Boko Haram attacks on mosques, markets, police stations, schools, and other places.
Despite these severe threats, Kwankwaso’s administration stayed focused and undeterred.
