Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State recently credited the support from former governor Peter Odili and Senator John Asuta Mbata as a significant factor in creating discord among his adversaries.
Expressing his gratitude, Fubara acknowledged the unwavering backing of Odili and the elder statesman Mbata, among others, who have consistently supported his administration.
In his statement, Fubara highlighted the profound impact of Odili and Mbata’s support. “I want to particularly thank our leader, Peter Odili, and Senator John Mbata.
There is a specific reason for this, and it is well known to all of you,” he stated.
He emphasized the symbolic power of these two figures, describing them as formidable forces that unsettle the opposition.
“Whenever they stand with us, their influence is equivalent to a million men, which is deeply troubling to our opponents,” Fubara remarked.
Reflecting on a recent gathering, Fubara noted the impressive assembly of influential individuals at the event. He suggested that the presence of such high-caliber supporters would inevitably cause confusion among his enemies.
“This evening, with the calibre of people sitting at this table, there is bound to be confusion somewhere,” he observed. Fubara concluded by attributing the favorable circumstances to divine intervention, stating, “You can see the handiwork of God!
It is not my doing. When God is in control, He makes everything perfect in His way and in His time.”
