Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), is considering taking legal action against Aminu Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, due to allegations made by Gwarzo.
Gwarzo claimed that Ribadu facilitated the return of Aminu Bayero, the dethroned Emir of Kano, by providing him with two private jets.
However, Ribadu has vehemently denied these allegations and is demanding an apology and retraction from Gwarzo within 24 hours.
Ribadu’s legal representatives, Aliyu & Musa Chambers, have sent a letter to Gwarzo demanding proof to substantiate the claims or else face legal consequences.
The allegations have caused significant embarrassment to Ribadu and his family, leading to a barrage of phone calls expressing disappointment from friends and associates.
The situation escalated after Muhammad Sanusi II was reinstated as Emir, prompting Bayero’s return to the emirate.
While other deposed Emirs complied with directives to vacate their palaces, Bayero has not, calling for justice from the authorities.
