APGA National Chairman, Ezeokenwa Attends INEC 2nd Quarterly Consultative Meeting Commends Electoral Body’s Commitment To Credible Elections In Edo, Ondo

 

During INEC’s 2nd Quarterly Consultative meeting, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, joined INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, INEC’s National Commissioners, Directors, and other political party chairmen to discuss the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Nigeria.

Barrister Ezeokenwa took the opportunity to commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), specifically praising the Commission’s Chairman for his steadfastness, professionalism, and dedication.

He highlighted the proactive measures taken by INEC to ensure the credibility of the electoral processes in the forthcoming Edo and Ondo State elections.

“The leadership demonstrated by the Commission, under the guidance of its Chairman, has been pivotal in preparing for these critical polls,” noted Barrister Ezeokenwa. “Their commitment to excellence reassures us of the integrity of the electoral process.”

He urged INEC to remain undeterred by any potential distractions that might undermine their efforts. Barrister Ezeokenwa emphasized the importance of continuous improvement in the electoral process and the seamless deployment of necessary technology to support the upcoming Edo and Ondo elections.

Barrister Ezeokenwa also commended the Commission for its routine convening of the Consultative meetings with political party leaders in Nigeria.

He highlighted the significance of these meetings in fostering a cordial relationship between political parties and the Commission, essential for deepening democratic ideals in the nation’s polity.

A key focus of the discussion during the meeting was assessing INEC’s readiness to conduct the gubernatorial elections scheduled for September and November in Edo and Ondo states, respectively.

Barrister Ezeokenwa reassured that APGA fully supports INEC’s efforts to sustain and enhance the democratic process in Nigeria.
