Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, during a celebration for his 53rd birthday at his home in Abia State, addressed reporters and asserted that President Bola Tinubu should not be held responsible for the current economic crisis in Nigeria.
He emphasized that Tinubu is actively working to rectify the mistakes made by previous administrations, which have contributed to the nation’s current economic challenges.
Kalu highlighted the need for Nigerians to support and encourage Tinubu in his efforts to create a sustainable and genuinely improved livelihood for all citizens.
He expressed optimism about the nation’s future despite the current unrest and urged Nigerians to maintain faith in the present leadership. Kalu criticized the hoarding of wealth and living in luxury while many citizens suffer from poverty, labeling it as cruel.
He questioned the rationale behind withholding resources in warehouses when there is widespread hunger in the country, emphasizing the importance of sharing resources and extending a helping hand to those in need, regardless of their background or political affiliation.
Kalu concluded by calling for the promotion of love, peace, and unity among Nigerians, emphasizing the importance of caring for others and fostering a sense of community and compassion.
