During a meeting at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu’s administration as it endeavors to rebuild the economy.
He acknowledged the challenges the country faces, attributing them to years of neglect, inconsistent policies, and poor decisions made by previous administrations.
Ganduje made this plea while receiving leaders from the 36 states of the federation, representing Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), who came on a solidarity visit to express their unwavering support for his leadership.
He commended their vote of confidence and assured them that the administration was committed to addressing the challenges faced by PWDs.
He emphasized the need for tailored solutions for the specific challenges faced by PWDs, such as skill acquisition programs that cater to their individual needs and abilities.
Ganduje reiterated Tinubu’s commitment to implementing extensive policies aimed at taking Nigeria to the next level, despite the daunting task of addressing the accumulated challenges from previous administrations.
Tolu Bankole, the APC National Leader of Persons With Disabilities, lamented the marginalization of PWDs by some political leaders and highlighted the significant contribution of PWDs to society.
He expressed support for the Ganduje-led National Working Committee of the APC and affirmed the PWDs’ backing of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope policies, which they believe will bring about positive change in the country.
Bankole urged fellow PWDs to stand firm with the APC and to support its candidates in the upcoming Edo and Ondo off-cycle governorship elections, emphasizing the party’s commitment to inclusive development and governance.
He stressed that supporting PWDs today would benefit not only the individuals themselves but also their families and dependents.
