I’m Determined, Will Continue To Make Tough Decisions Even If There’s Pain –Tinubu

 

Bola Tinubu, speaking during a meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands, emphasized his commitment to making tough decisions as Nigerian president, even if they result in short-term challenges.

He highlighted Nigeria’s desire for mutually beneficial partnerships, particularly in sectors like solid minerals, where the country’s high-grade lithium deposits could power the clean energy future of Europe and the world.

Tinubu stressed that Nigeria offers vast opportunities across various sectors and is actively deepening reforms to improve the investment climate. He expressed confidence in the Nigerian people, stating that his belief in them gives him the courage to make difficult decisions for their long-term benefit.

Regarding Nigeria’s potential, Tinubu pointed out the country’s dynamic youth population, with 70% of its citizens under the age of 30. He emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for young Nigerians to build a prosperous future at home, reducing irregular migration to Europe.

Tinubu also mentioned his administration’s efforts to provide student loans and credit opportunities to enhance skills and improve the quality of life for Nigerians. Despite short-term challenges, Tinubu remains resolute in his commitment to the long-term interests of all Nigerians.

He also highlighted the positive performance of the Nigerian Naira, attributing it to the necessary risks taken by the government and the resilience of the Nigerian people. Tinubu concluded by stressing the importance of leaders making decisions that benefit their nations, emphasizing the need to partner effectively for development.
