BREAKING: Nigerians Groan, Angry As Multichoice Announces Another Increase In Prices Of DSTV, GOtv Packages

Multichoice, a prominent satellite television service provider in Sub-Saharan Africa, has announced an upcoming price increase for its DSTV and GOtv packages.

In a statement titled ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages’, signed by its Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, customers were informed that the increase, effective from May 1, 2024, is due to the rising costs of business operations.

The statement acknowledges the potential impact on customers but states that the decision was necessary due to the increased cost of running the business. Under the new pricing, the Premium package on DSTV, previously priced at N29,500, will now cost N37,000.

Similarly, the Compact Plus package, which currently costs N19,800, will be increased to N25,000.
