Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna state, highlighted the issue of leadership as Nigeria’s primary challenge during his speech at a Capacity-Enhancement Workshop for Senior Government Officials of Borno State.
The workshop, held in Maiduguri, focused on enhancing skills in policy implementation and human resource management.
El-Rufai emphasized the importance of good leadership in addressing Nigeria’s problems, stressing the need for leaders to surround themselves with capable individuals to effectively carry out tasks.
He refrained from criticizing current or past leaders and expressed satisfaction with the progress he observed in Maiduguri and other parts of Borno despite the enduring Boko Haram insurgency.
