The CEO Stelconic Properties Limited Chief Sir Chukwuemeka Nkem Pat Orjiakor has lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s transformation of Education in Anambra State.
The erstwhile Deputy Chairman, Awka South Local Government Area said this in an interview with NewdayReporters on Wednesday.
Speaking, Chief Orjiakor said “The Governor has had a towering impact on education in this state.
“He has completely changed things from what it used to be and that is very commendable.
For instance, he introduced free education both for secondary and primary schools. This gesture is laudable because imagine if children of the poor needed to pay school fees to stay in school in a time as difficult as now, with the level of inflation and hardship. Anambra State would have had an out of school children crises. You see why the free education is great? Just as if he knew times would be as hard as it is now.
“He has also employed over 5000 qualified teachers to ensure the schools are properly staffed. Anambra under Soludo has completely eliminated PTA Teachers and I heard he is on the verge of employing another 5000, a great feat.
“I am aware also that the governor has always given over a billion to mission schools in the state including both Anglican, Catholic and Pentecostal, to improve quality of education.
“For me the governor has so far shown why he is a Professor. He has done excellently in education and I will score him distinction for a great start. He concluded.
Meanwhile, Sir Orjiakor used the platform to call on the federal government to extend the palliatives till next year, believing that if done, will to a great extent help with cushioning the effects of the removal of fuel Subsidy in the suffering masses.
