Chief Chukwuemeka Nkem Pat Orjiakor has praised Governor Soludo’s compassionate heart after the Governor pledged to clear the Exam Fees of Onitsha inmates over the weekend.
The Governor of Anambra State during the weekend showcased the humane and compassionate deposition of himself when he pledged to pay Exam Fees for inmates in Onitsha Correctional Facility.
According to Orjiakor, “What the governor did is a proof of his nature and the type person he is.
“I can say for sure that he is a kind man, a humble, humane and compassionate person and that explains this gesture to inmates in Onitsha.
“Personally, I was moved by his show of concern, love and that’s a great lesson to all of us as Indigenes of Anambra.
“We must practice love, kindness and empathy. It is good Mr Governor is showing the right example with his actions, it is left for us to learn and implement.” He told NewdayReporters.
The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, had over the weekend pledged support for the prison ministry of the Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke.
Soludo made the pledge during the birthday mass for the Archbishop, who marked his 70th birthday.
The mass was celebrated at the Nigerian Correctional Service Medium Security Custodial Centre Onitsha, on Friday.
The governor also laid the foundation stone for the secondary school that will be built in the centre and inaugurated the skills acquisition centre built and donated by the Archbishop.
