Sir Chukwuemeka Orjiakor Urges Igbo Youths To Take Up South East Quota In Ongoing Police Recruitment

The CEO of Stelconic Properties Limited, Chief Sir Chukwuemeka Nkem Pat Orjiakor has called on youths in the South East to take advantage of the ongoing Police Recruitment Exercise.

The philanthropist cum business tycoon lamented the reluctance of youths from the South East region in taking up the South East quota for enrollment into the various force in the country.

Chief Orjiakor said these in an interview with NewdayReporters on Sunday.

According to him, “Our young people should take advantage of some of these opportunities and get into the force. We need more of our people as active participants in these areas.

“It is unfortunate that the South East have been somewhat underrepresented in these forces partly because our young people have refused to take up the slots naturally accrued to the region by the provisions of federal character principle.

“You must agree with me that this underrepresentation is affecting us as a region and as a people. I urge our qualified young people to apply for the ongoing police recruitment. We must be intentional about it and try to fill up our quota  for the overall good of the south East”. He concluded.

It can be recalled that just recently the Nigerian Police Force announced that they have opened the portal for application of qualified persons into the police force.
