Anambra South traditional rulers have applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for official launch of free Antenatal and Delivery services in all government owned hospitals and Health Care Centers.
The traditional rulers of Ajalli, Igwe Austin Nwangwu, that of Umuomaku, Igwe Obinna Ezenwa, and their Amichi Counterpart, Igwe Oforbuike Ezeoke made the commendation in an interview anchored by NewdayReporters shortly after an interactive meeting with Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tony Collins Nwabunwanne at Government House Awka.
Igwe Nwangwu who praised Governor Soludo and wife, Mrs Nonye for championing the cause of women by making antenatal and delivery services free of cost to cushion the effects of the petrol subsidy removal, and throughout the period he will be in office, noted that the Governor’s largess will go a long way towards reducing infants and martanal mortality issues across the state.
In areas of road construction, the royal father gave kudos to Anambra State helmsman for saving his community and the whole Aguata from going through Nanka and Agulu to Awka by constructing the Amansea to Ufuma Junction roads thereby reducing travelling time from one hour thirty minutes to Thirty minutes which according to him, is a better way to touch lives.
Baring his mind, Igwe Ezenwa said Governor Soludo is the first Governor to award road construction in Umuomaku which his community will remain ever grateful remarked that the Ezira, Umuomaku, Enugwu Umuoyia, Achina road construction is going on speedily, which he gathered will be completed by December this year.
He also commended the Governor and security agencies in the state for for bringing down the rate of crme and criminality in the area.
Contributing, the traditional ruler of Amichi, Igwe Oforbuike described Governor Soludo’s transformational agenda as great, and appealed to the citizenry to give him time to accomplish his vision for the state, saying that security is getting better in the state.
Also, the traditional ruler of Owelle Ezukalla, Igwe Thomas Onyeama Ogbonnaya who joined his voice in lauding the Governor’s transformational agenda, prayed God to give him more wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state .
