JUST NOW: Ganduje Promises To Resolve ‘Family Problem’ Over New APC National Working Committee Positions

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has assured the party faithful that the “family problem” arising from the announcement of new National Working Committee (NWC) and zonal officers will be resolved amicably.

At the end of a meeting with the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, which was held on Thursday behind closed doors in Abuja, Ganduje told journalists that all differences would be rectified.

The party’s NWC, on Wednesday evening, announced the names of officers to fill vacant NWC and zonal positions of the party.

The National Secretary of the party, who made the announcement, stated that the outgoing officers included Abubakar Kyari as National Deputy Chairman for North, with the Borno APC chairman, Ali Dalori, replacing him.

Also, the outgoing National Women Leader, Betta Edu, was replaced by Mary Alile Idele from Edo State.

Both Kyari and Edu were recently appointed ministers by President Bola Tinubu. Edu is in charge of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation while Kyari serves as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

Meanwhile, the APC chairman also expressed optimism in the ability of the Kogi governor to deliver the state for the party in the November 11 governorship election.

Bello reaffirmed his confidence in the party’s leadership, insisting that the APC would retain the state.
