Al-Hilal striker, Odion Ighalo converted twice from the spot as they defeated Al-Nassr 2-0.

The results is a big blow to Cristiano Ronaldo and his team-mates’ fading title hopes.

Al-Nassr recently parted ways with manager Rudi Garcia amid reports of dressing room discontent, not least reportedly related to the Portuguese superstar Ronaldo, and replaced him with former youth team coach Dinko Jelicic, taking over as interim boss.

Needing a victory away at Al-Hilal to ensure they stayed in touch with the league leaders, they conceded twice from the spot courtesy of Ighalo.

It leaves Al-Ittihad three points clear at the top of the league, having played a game fewer.
